I am going for a boudoir shoot in about 2 weeks. I am going for a wedding theme in some of the shots. Just wondering what to expect? How many outfits should I bring?I am doing a Boudior photoshoot, any tips/advice?
First off, congrats on getting married...
i would take quite a few outfits....
as for retouching, it depends on the photog....
also, you might want to take some things like, a large feather, boa, some scarfs.... a brush %26amp; make up kit
have you thought about how u want your hair done? up or down.... if you want it down, i suggest taking some bobby pins, as you might decide later on that youd like it up for some of the shots....
also, check your photogs website, see what they have alrady shot, you can get some great ideas that way....I am doing a Boudior photoshoot, any tips/advice?
You may want to take more accessories, than another outfit.
If this photographer is a boudoir photographer, they will have some props as well that you can use.
Look on One Model Place and Model Mayhem for ideas.
Generally the photographer will know what they are doing, but bringing your own ideas can be fun too.
Most retouching is done by a retouch artist, not a photographer (we are the shooters). Much time and money can be saved buy applying make up before the shoot. It may be worth the $35 or so to have a MUA do that on the set ... ask the photographer who they recommends.
Good ideas so far.
But one suggestion I haven't seen mentioned: Regardless of how little or how much you'll be wearing, plan on wearing lose clothing for a few hours before the shoot. You don't want bra strap marks or elastic waistband lines to show.
Can they be removed in Photoshop? Sure, I do it all the time. But it's easier - and cheaper - to avoid them in the first place.
Same's true for tanlines - if that's likely to be a problem.
Are you the bride to be? Are these for your boyfriend or husband? How far are you willing to go in the taking off of your clothes or showing flesh? Do you need a coach for pose ideas and as a witness to the shoot?
