For example, are they easy to apply? Do you put mascara on before or after? Do they come off easily? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!Anyone have any good tips or advice on fake eyelashes?
Measure out the false lashes by holding it against your lashline and trim it accordingly. If you want it looking more natural, make it shorter, or longer if you prefer the dramatic look. Use the adhesive that comes with the lashes, and if they don't you can buy some from CVS and Sally's Beauty Store, and apply it on the band at the bottom. Using a tweezer, grip your falsies at the middle and looking down on a flat mirror, apply them on your lashline. You can use the end of a make-up brush to help it stick own, but do this gently. Let the glue dry and re-apply eyeliner, preferably liquid or cream to cover the plastic bits and give it a flawless look. Apply mascara like normal and blend in your own lashes with the falsies. You can apply mascara before or after, it doesn't really make a difference. I like to apply one coat of mascara before putting on my fake lashes because I find it just makes it easier for me, and then re-apply after I glue on the lashes.
The removal is a little tricky at first. Dab some eyelash remover on to a cotton ball and without tugging and pulling to risk damaging your eyelashes, wait for it to loosen the glue. Grip on of the ends of the falsies with your finger or tweezers and gently pull. After you get them off, apply a little more remover just to make sure the glue is all off. You can also use an eye make-up remover to take off any of the eyeliner and mascara. Wash off with cool water and voila! :)
Practice makes perfect. They're really fun and easy to use, once you get the hang of it. :)Anyone have any good tips or advice on fake eyelashes?
Hi Kat,
Here, I have place some tips about how to put on False Eye Lashes:
1. You can trim the width and length of your false eye lashes if you wish to. But first, try the original length and see if you prefer it that way before cutting.
2. Prepare the things that you would need: a good pair of tweezers, some eyelash glue and your lashes, of course. A magnifying mirror will also be useful. If you are putting on individual eyelashes, make sure that the individual sections are ready.
3. Before actually applying the lashes, line the upper part of your lash line with black or mahogany-collared eyeliner pencil and smudge it a little to create a smoked effect. This would conceal the lash band area.
4. When ready, start applying the individual eye lahses before the strip ones, as they are more difficult and effort-consuming to apply. You would need strong, steady hands to apply it well.
5. Pick up the fake eyelahses with a pair of tweezers. You are likely to have more control if you use tweezers than handle it with your fingers.
6. Apply a tiny amount of eyelash glue by dipping the end of the fake lashes. Wait for about 30 seconds for the glue to become sticky.
7. Apply the fake eyelahses very slightly above your real eyelashes, and position them as close to your lashline as possible. Gently press the eyelash area until it false lashes are set. If you are using individual lashes, start applying from the outside of your eyes inwards.
8. When the fake eye lashes are set in place, curl them with a good eyelash curler, together with your natural lashes. Apply some mascara afterwards.
Never try to put them on when you are just 5 minutes away from leaving for a big party.
This below mentioned tips are for how to remove fake eyelashes:
1. Never remove it by tugging. Chances are, you might pull off some of your real lashes as well, and this can become very tragic! Go gentle on those fake eye lashes and handle them as though they could be real.
2. Start by dabbing fake eyelash remover on your lash line with a cotton swab. You can gently tap the swab at the base in order to loosen out the eyelash glue. Start applying from the outer edge inwards. You may use some eye makeup remover as an alternative. It would also be good to let it soak for a few seconds in order to soften the adhesive glue. (Do not leave it out too long as it will dry out eventually.)
3. After making sure that it has fully softened, take one corner of the lash band (for full fake eyelashes) and gently pull off the eye lashes. For individual fake eye lashes, it is best to use a good pair of tweezers for more precision when pulling.
4. Remove all possible traces of eyelash glue by dabbing some more eyelash remover. Finally, cleanse your eyes and the rest of your makeup with a good make up remover.
What's more????
I wear them as a part of competitive dancing. The best tips I have found over the years are...
1. Don't choose false lashes that are too long or thick for your features
2. Always lay them against your eye (without glue) and cut off the inner end of the lash if it is too wide for your eye.
3. Put your makeup on first including ONE coat of mascara
4. Don't use too much glue (you will see it if you do)
5. Attach the lashes using fingers or tweezers BUT get them as CLOSE as possible to your own lash line otherwise they look wrong and are uncomfortable.
6. Apply a second coat of mascara to stick your own lashes to the false ones and apply more eyeshadow and/or eyeliner to disguise the glue and the false lash line.
7. Peel them off slowly when you are finished wearing them (it doesn't hurt) and store them in the container they came in. The can be used again and again if you carefully peel the old glue away.
Ouhhh mann , you wouldn't want to read all that right ?
They're easy to apply , and they do come off easily . Depends on the type of glue you're using .
Anyway , here's a video on how to put fake lashes . :)
mascara is put first, as it is use to adhere the fake eyelashes...
tip: do not use mascara when you already have fake eyelashes..
but, if you insists, then use clear mascara instead
put all your face makeup on
and your eye shadow
put them on with tweezers, put only a thin line of glue on and make sure there set properly they put liquid eyeliner on to disguise them so they look more natural
then put mascara on the top
don't put any mascara on before hand
