Make sure mommy gets plenty of rest. As a result you are more focused on your babies. Also look up internet offers. There are tons of free things available for mommies of multiples. My sister got tons of free formula, cases of diapers, wipes, clothes, many free jars of gerber and a free diaper genie as well as bottles. She finds it easier to care for her triplets in she has her day schedualed out. She also makes and freezes meals while her babies are sleeping so she doesn't have to cook everynight. That's more time to be with her babies!Moms of Multiples: What is your best advice/tips when caring for your babies?
I have twins - here is my advice . . . don't let people scare you especially if these are your first children. We only have twins so we don't know how much work one kid is . . . we just know how much work two is!

Do what you can to get them on the same schedule - we made sure to get our twins on the same feeding schedule and the rest fell into place. That means that when one is awake and needs to eat, wake the other and see that both are fed at the same time or back to back. If you don't you will be feeding them all hours of the day without any sort of routine.

Build your support system - family, friends - make it clear that mom and dad are in this together. My husband learned to feed, change and put to sleep a baby as we were in this together.

Shop smart - buy things on sale, sign up on the websites for coupons - Enfamil, Similac or Gerber if you are going to formula feed, Pampers, Huggies etc . . . watch for sales, buy in bulk (we have a membership to BJs - one of those warehouse stores), let people know that you are open to hand me downs and shop consignment stores.

It is ok to let them cry for a moment. With multiples, you are often out-numbered. If the baby is safe, clean, dry, fed and not hurt . . . you can let him or her cry for a moment while you catch your breath or tend to the other child. I am not suggesting that you let them cry for a long time . . . just prioritize and breathe for a minute now and then.

Know that it gets easier - as they get older, their brother/sister is a constant companion and playmate so while it is a lot of care when they are newborns, when they are older they have each other to entertain.

Multiples are such a blessing!
It's not twice the work, - but only about 50% more work.

Get the support you might need, -from neighbors or family.

It took about 13 months for the twins to sleep thru the night, - daddy had the night shift, - until about 3:00am.

They're 4 (B/G) now, - watching TV before school.
