Can any one provide any tips or advice for song writting when your primary instrument is guitar?

I am bored with using the same keys and have difficulty using scales. I have studied thes things in books but, I am interested in someones personal experienceCan any one provide any tips or advice for song writting when your primary instrument is guitar?
The more you know, the easier the process will go.


By that I mean, you cant expect to write great songs that are completely different from each other all the time, when I was starting out I was like you. Then I took lessons and taught myself a few tricks, practiced and got everything ';under my fingers'; and viola! I was writing a new song every couple of days. Mess around with chords, and practice your scales every day, you'll get it eventually.
