I would love to put my masters degree to use and possibly work for the Department of Justice. I've looked and applied for quite a few jobs on usajobs.gov. Any other tips or advice for me? I greatly appreciate it. Thank you.Any tips or advice about applying for a federal government job?
USAJobs is a great site! Not sure how you are applying - but here is a tip. When you look at the job description/requirements, etc, make sure your cover letter and resume is EXACT! Take parts of the requirements and show that you have that experience. They don't always have a human reading the resume %26amp; cover letter - they use word 'seekers' that will pick the most relevant ones to pass on to the real HR or hiring manager.Any tips or advice about applying for a federal government job?
Thanks for all of your help. Great advice.

Just be prepared for a drug test (I'm guessing you're not a recreational pot user, but who knows). Also, an extensive background check. Are you married? They will likely check your husband/wife as well.
Do you have a concealed handgun license? You should know how to shoot a gun well.
Are you close with anyone who has worked for the government? A letter of recommendation could be powerful.
Tell them that you are willing to relocate and be flexible about locations and hours.
CPR certified is always a plus.
Good luck :)
A great site that you should visit is http://friendsmela.blogspot.com This site is free and will show you how to earn money online the legit and easy way. I earn about $1200 each month and work about 1-2 hours per day. You are guaranteed to get paid, so you don't have to worry about this being some sort of scam. A great way for teens to earn money!
