Any tips or advice to how I can better draw emotions?

You know how certain songs can put in in certain zones, some romantic, some exciting, some sad, some exotic? How do I let it flow through me onto the paper? I can clearly visualize it but it usually comes out with so many imperfections it just becomes frustrating.

Anyone have any ideas or tips? I am not the best artist in the world but I still am good at it. I know I have to practice but I have not taken any art classes since middle schools so what are some good techniques?Any tips or advice to how I can better draw emotions?
I still struggle with portraying emotions in my drawings, too. Being a face-blind Aspie doesn't help. One book that I have seems very promising in that regard, ';The Artist's Complete Guide to Facial Expression'; by Gary Faigin.Any tips or advice to how I can better draw emotions?
There's power in lines! When I draw characters, a simple line can change the whole meaning on the drawing. A happy face can become malicious or a sad face curious.

That's just with simple characters; with more complex drawings, I'd say make the expression you're trying to capture in the mirror and try to draw that.

Color is also helpful, but that's sort of a given 8T
