im 19 male 6 ft and 238 pounds now from 248.How am i doing on my diet so far and any extra tips or advice?
Sounds really good, Gabe. Gradual is the key to success. What kind of exercise? Start with 30-45 minutes of brisk walking if you can, going up to a full hour. You can start building muscle right away, actually. Just do some exercise you can only do about 5 of, and work up to ten, every other day. A pair of 10 k dumbells would be good for curls. Also 5-10 pushups, and see if you can do a few pullups, and one-legged squats (half-knee bends, actually) At your age, you need one day of rest to rebuild tissue. Over 45, you need 3.
At first, you might not lose much total weight, because you are adding muscle as well as burning fat. But you will slim down. Look at the mirror rather than the bathroom scale.

Intense cardio 2-3 times a week. If you are trying to build lean muscle, the best approach is to do it while you burn off your fat. While working out try a 2-3 sets, but a higher # of reps. As your strength increases, continue the #of reps, but increase the sets. This will emphasize more muscle cuts

get all the junk food outta ur house accept a lil bit of that one foood u like on sunday nights but then id go out like sunday have a soft serve cone at micky D's as ur treat it's not that high in cals and tastes good as a treat :) eat natural foods stick to oats yams whole grains kashi cereal is very filling high in protein and fiber take a multivitimin eat fruit and lots of greens high proteins like chicken turkey fish nothing abnormal and cut weight til YOUR happy if ur happy with ur body composition at 205 then go to bulk up keep in mind ur gonna put on a lil bit of fat when adding muscle it's just how it works
